Brian Fisher, Treehouse Builder

Brian Fisher - Carpenter & Climber

Brian has been climbing trees since he was 7 years old, but never dreamed he could earn a living doing it. As a kid, he set up zip lines to cross the street to his neighbor's trees. ***KIDS, do NOT try this at home***.

The outdoors has always been Brian's first love. His favorite activities include camping, rock climbing, hunting, and fishing on his Dad's boat. Tree stands, technically, are temporary tree houses, and Tree Top Builders has built luxury hunting tree houses for clients who spend a lot of time hunting and want to be comfortable, safe, and have a camoflauged "blind" that masks accidental movement. Brian's long reach and knowledge of knots and climbing techniques make him a natural climber. He is studying to pass his rigging certification and eventually become a master arborist.

Brian has formal carpentry training and extensive carpentry experience, having run a framing crew building everything from high end custom ground houses to standard residential developments and home additions. His experience covers other building trades as well, from decks, windows and roofing to bathrooms and kitchens. He was even a lead carpenter for another tree house builder for a year before finding a better fit with Tree Top Builders. It all got started when, as a toddler, his mother says that he went around the house hammering nails into his parent's doors. Kids, do we need another disclaimer?

Combining his carpentry experience with his natural affinity for climbing and nature, Brian is a natural in tree house construction. When asked what he considers the ultimate tree house, he said, "the ultimate tree house is one that is high in the air, built solid as a rock, and has long zip lines and bridges leading through an ancient forest."
