Amy Wright - Associate
Amy has been involved in Tree Top Builders from the first tree house in 2003. Back in those days, she helped Dan and a couple others build tree houses all over the country. Along the way, Amy designed the original tree top builders website, designed & sketched some of our original tree house projects, attended a treehouse conference on the west coast, and helped with various administrative and business tasks.
Amy's background included many years of recreational sport climbing on both natural rock and artificial walls. She was also a facilitator on challenge courses at two different camps, one of which had a kids tree house. She learned tree climbing by building tree houses with Dan and the crew. Although she's still always up for an adventure, being a mom has strengthened her concern for treehouse safety, especially for the little tree house visitors. She likes to see kids enjoy tree houses, rope swings, and other great features so long as they are always 100% safe.
When she and Dan had their 3 boys, she has hung up her tool belt, so to speak. At this time, she still helps manage the workshop inventory, including shipping and receiving of materials and tree house attachment hardware. She also photographs our finished tree houses and takes video of many of the zip lines. She also helps plan for and operate our tree house classes. A big thanks to Amy because we wouldn't be where we are today without her.
