Pirate Ship Treehouse
This is our favorite Treehouse based attraction we’ve ever built – and probably the best we’ve ever heard of. The pirate ship is amazing looking, and worth a visit to Treehouse World just to see it. But for those looking for an award winning attraction, the Walk the Plank activity immerses you into what it was really like to take a jump off a wobbly board and free fall down to the ground using a controlled descent device.
Design of the Pirate Ship Treehouse
The pirate ship treehouse area is designed so that participant flow is streamlined and you never have visitors walking underneath the activity unless they just walked the plank. The bridge from another tree platform and through the captains quarters is the only way in, and walking the plank is the only way out. The ship theme can be altered to fit different configurations of trees, and use various other styles for railings, walls, materials, and colors. For instance, the bridge could enter from one side instead of the back or the crow’s nest could be turned to avoid having to cut important tree branches. In this design, everyone is harnessed in on the deck, but that wouldn’t be required with gates covering the plank openings and perhaps netting over the top preventing people from climbing the railings. We really have to talk with you and see how you want to operate the attraction and design it to work best for you.
How Much Does this Treehouse Project Cost?
While treehouse costs vary greatly and each project is unique, we understand your need to have some idea what each project in our portfolio would cost to build. Please see our tree house pricing page for a description of the factors that go into each quote. This tree house as shown would cost between $100,000 and $140,000. Please feel free to contact us to discuss whether your project would fall on the high end or low end of this range.
