One of Everything Tree House in Pennsylvania

This Pennsylvania tree house doesn't just have one of everything; it has two of some things! Our most common tree house options are all represented here. To get up to the tree house, there are 2 climbing walls, 2 ladders, a rope ladder, and a tube net climb. To get down, there are 2 zip lines, a slide, and a fire pole. There is a wood stove for those winter camp outs, a rope bridge to connect the platforms, a sleeping loft and a fold down bed inside, and a triangular crow's nest.

This tree house was also featured in a tree house news article that ran in several Pennsylvania newspapers in 2009. It is the ulitmate kids tree house!

Various Tree House Support Methods

One of the tricks of the tree house design trade is to decide among the various support methods available. This tree house uses two posts to the ground to hold a good percentage of the dead weight of the house. The tree supported points are supported by knee braces, fixed support points, and two types of cable suspension systems. The trick is knowing the optimal way to support each one to allow for the maximum safety, greatest ease of use, and the methods that will make the project feel the most like a tree house while not over burdening the trees. Now that's a tall order!

If you want to learn more about supporting tree houses, we offer regular tree house classes at our Pennsylvania workshop and other locations to teach people to build their own tree houses.
