Tree House in VA near Washington DC

The Washington DC area is home to dozens of our tree houses. This particular treehouse is in the Great Falls, VA area. There is a small zip line that goes from tree to nearby tree just above the ground. The tree house was considered too high to use as a zip line launch platform, in this case. There is also a rock wall for the energetic to climb and a set of stairs. We made the railing pickets out of red cedar, and the windows were kept really simple as just framed openings. The clients were so happy with their tree house that they referred us to several other people in the Northern Virginia area, from Alexandria, VA, to over the border in Maryland. Tree houses are everywhere, you know...

Tree Houses with Bridges

This tree house was one of the first treehouses where we have connected two platforms with a bridge. Such projects conjure up images of the Ewoks in their tree houses. Some are built to cross a stream, muddy area, or a ravine, but this bridge was simply an excuse to build another treehouse platform and run back and forth! Sounds like fun to me, and if you're a parent trying to get the kids outside to play, then the more adventure you can pack into your tree house, the better.
