Workshop for Treehouse Building

Tree House Building Workshop - May 2010

This tree house building workshop should be even bigger and better than last year! Once again, our goal is to prepare you to build your own treehouse in a way that minimizes damage to trees and is safe for everyone. All topics are covered from Treehouse fastener installation to finishing details of a project that are treehouse specific. This years' practicum will be a single tree platform, which will be centered around the tree. These are tricky to get perfectly level, and we will demonstrate some of our tricks of the trade. We will also follow up on some serious tree care issues on the property that were raised at the last treehouse building workshop in September. Lastly, we will be building a bridge to connect the new platform to an existing one higher up in the next group of trees over. We hope you can make it!

May 2010 Preliminary Workshop Schedule

This workshop will cover modern tree house building theory. Sessions will be taught by Tree Top Builders Staff and special guests who are experts in their respective fields. In addition to teaching theory in class sessions, we will practice by building a single tree platform, and time permitting, a bridge connecting it to another platform higher up.

At this most current update, some speakers and course titles are confirmed, but others remain tentative. Please note that we do reserve the right to change the workshop content including the guest speakers, topics, and the specific project that we build as a group, if we have to - and we all know that things can come up unexpectedly.
